LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
During all Redblacks games the 50/50 sellers come from our NCAFA clubs. This year each club is taking turns in different ways. This is either by having volunteers on several days or by doing one entire game. We have chosen one entire day, in hopes of showing our Myers Spirt!
Our day is Saturday Aug 6th. We need 35 sellers and they must be 18 years of age. Game is at 7:00 pm. Sellers must be there by 5:00 pm. Sellers will sell before game and until just after half-time in the area they are designated, once they cash out they are able to stay to watch the rest of the game!
Please email Tina at email@example.com if you are able to committ! Please feel free to send this to anyone who you may feel may be interested. Volunteers do not have to come stricly from the club but can represent our club!
Congratulations to the following Junior OVFL players who were selected to play in the OVFL Prospects Game next Saturday April 23rd in Guelph, Ontario.

Dear Football Supporter,
It is with great enthusiasm that I would like to invite you to participate in our advertising/sponsorship program. The Myers Riders Football Club and its OVFL Varsity, Junior and Bantam Teams have elected to give a limited number of local businesses access to their valued fans.
This is a very exciting opportunity for you, the sponsor, to have signage at all OVFL regular season games, plus the playoffs.
This program has been prompted by a dramatic increase in the clubs operating budget for the 2016 season. This increase is primarily due to the dramatic rise in the cost of transportation and field rental costs. The majority of the League's teams are located in southern Ontario and, as such, the teams must travel a significant way for most of their away games.
The investment for you and your company is a modest $500.00 for the 3' X 6' sideline sign which will be displayed for the entire OVFL season. Your participation in our sponsorship program will contribute significantly to the development of our kids to CIS programs.
Thank you in advance for your support of this 2016 endeavor, as it is one of the many ways that the Myers Riders attempt to keep this great sport accessible to some players who may not otherwise be afforded the opportunity to play the sport they love at the highest level.
Please make your cheque payable to the Myers Riders Football Club. Remittance address is 30 Kirkstall Ave. Ottawa, K2G 3M5. Please send your company logo and contact information for your sign to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once payment is received a receipt will be issued.
For further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at 613-723-1302 or email@example.com.

A Message from our President
I would like to thank all those generous people for their kind support of our 2015 golf day.
There were many who donated prizes, bought hole sponsors and/or played golf.
It was a beautiful day at Hammond's and the course was in superb condition. All the golfers enjoyed a good round of play and a steak dinner
Everyone was in a good frame of mind as they spent much of their hard
earned money on our prize board and auction items. It was a very good day for Myers Riders and I thank all our volunteers and supporters for making it so enjoyable and a good fundraiser.
Beckwith Sports Facility Welcomes Myers Riders Football!
There will be some very good football to watch this spring/summer at the Beckwith Sports Facility. Myers Riders, members of the Ontario Varsity Football League will be hosting their home games at Beckwith this season.
The Myers teams have enjoyed some major success in recent years, having all their levels participating in provincial championships for the last 3 seasons. They have captured 4 championships in this time and the club boasts a total of 6 in their years playing in the elite OVFL.
There are several Valley players throughout the 3 levels of play and many play prominent roles on the team's success. Last year's most valuable player Jagar Prot from Arnprior was possibly the best player in the league. The Myers Varsity team is followed by many universities and graduating players have several choices to combine their field of study plus play football.
The home games scheduled for Beckwith are May 30th, June 20th, June 27th and July 18th. Kick offs are at noon, 2:45 pm and 6 pm. July 18th is Bantam level only and kick off is at 7 pm. Fans are encouraged to support their local team.
There is an admission of $5 for adults and $2 for students. Local football players wearing their team jerseys are admitted free.
There is a very good canteen available with lots of delicious offerings.

Making Myers Proud! Our Bantam OVFL Head Coach Ralph Siciliano being inducted into the OVFL Hall of Fame.
The Myers Riders Football Club was established in 1974 as a result of the merger of two other organizations; namely, the Queensway Titans and the South West Vikings. The newly formed Riders adopted the colours of their namesakes, the Ottawa Rough Riders: black, red and white. Over the years, the Myers Riders have acquired a healthy reputation of providing a first-rate program for young people who wish to play the game for recreational purposes, as well as those individuals who might aspire to the Junior, University or Professional level.
The Myers Riders are a member club of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) and the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
